Fabrication Based on Your Bar Bending Schedule

A bar bending schedule (BBS) brings each reinforcement item into a production-ready list. We review bar marks, steel grade, diameter, shape, dimensions and quantities against the drawings before arranging cutting and bending batches.

Schedule revisions and delivery sequences form part of order coordination, helping contractors and stockists receive prepared reinforcement in the planned order.

Straightening & cut-to-length

Straight Bars and Coil-Fed Rebar Preparation

Coil-fed straightening and cut-to-length lines prepare reinforcement from suitable rebar coils. Straight stock is processed through bar cutting equipment, with length stops and receiving tables used to control the finished cut list.

Our fabrication setup combines automatic straightening and cutoff equipment with hydraulic bar shears and supported handling stations. Lengths are grouped by bar mark for the following bending or packing stage.

Coil Straightening Lines

Payoff stands, straightening rollers and programmed length control prepare straight lengths from suitable coiled reinforcement.

Bar Cutting Stations

Hydraulic shearing equipment and measuring stops support repeat cut lengths from straight reinforcing bars.

Receiving & Sorting Tables

Run-out tables and separated holding positions keep cut batches organized for bending and inspection.

Bending & shape forming

Programmed Bending for Specified Shapes

CNC bar bending stations support repeat shapes from straight bars, while automatic stirrup forming equipment prepares suitable smaller-diameter reinforcement for links and ties. Bending programs are prepared from the approved dimensions and shape definitions.

Formed bars are checked against the required bend geometry, internal dimensions and bar identification before they move to their designated finished batch.

Specifications for Cut & Bent Rebar Orders

A complete bending schedule helps align material procurement, machine setup, inspection and delivery. Project requirements determine the cutting list, bending dimensions and final acceptance basis.

Order DetailInformation to Specify
Material gradeRequested rebar standard and grade, such as ASTM A615/A706, BS 4449, AS/NZS 4671 or GB reinforcement grades.
Bar sizeNominal diameter or relevant bar designation for each scheduled item.
Bar mark & shapeDrawing reference, shape code where applicable, and approved geometry for each mark.
Dimensions & bendsScheduled dimensions, bend angles, bend diameters and required measurement convention.
QuantityPieces per bar mark, package grouping and total project tonnage.
Inspection & shipmentAccepted dimensional requirements, inspection scope, required documents and delivery sequence.

For projects using British detailing conventions, BS 8666:2020 provides requirements for scheduling, dimensioning, cutting and bending of concrete reinforcement. Other projects follow the approved drawings, material specifications and agreed fabrication requirements.

Dimensional checks

Inspecting Shape, Size and Material Identity

Finished reinforcement is checked at accessible reference points using suitable length-measuring tools, angle gauges and templates. Inspections relate the fabricated bar mark to its drawing dimensions, batch identification and accepted tolerances.

Material records and available MTC documentation are reviewed alongside scheduled grades. Where requested, customer or independent inspection can be arranged before dispatch.

Packing & project dispatch

Bundled by Bar Mark and Delivery Sequence

Cut and bent reinforcement is sorted into handling units by shape, bar mark and shipment lot. Suitable supports, restrained bundles and protected contact points help maintain the intended geometry during handling and loading.

Package lists and dispatch records follow the final bending schedule, supporting unloading and receipt at a fabrication yard or construction project. Export packing and transport planning are agreed for the destination and cargo configuration.
